NACE COMMUNITY RULES AND GUIDELINES

Thank you for being part of the NACE Community. To ensure the best possible experience for all members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.

By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. This is a great medium with which to solicit the advice of your peers, benefit from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation.

Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these important guidelines. In order to preserve a climate that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violate these rules.

If you have questions about the rules or guidelines, please direct them to the Community Manager.

THE RULES

  • Comments and discussions are meant to stimulate conversation and should be respectful and professional in nature and in tone. Please allow others to have their say; please do not attack or challenge the experiences of others.
  • Comments and discussions should add to the body of knowledge. NACE reserves the right to reject any posting for any reason.
  • Commercial messages—including links to your career/recruitment resources website, third-party blog, job postings, solicitation for event participation, and messages offering information on a product or service—are prohibited. Contact people directly with product and service information only in response to a specific request for information.  Links to surveys are also prohibited.
  • Discussions related to the functionality of/how to use a product or service are prohibited in the NACE Community. If a user requests specific information, that assistance must be limited to private message between only those two users. NACE will close and/or remove such discussions.
  • The NACE Community is open only to members of the National Association of Colleges and Employers; it is a members-only benefit, and all postings must be made in the name of an individual.
  • Information posted on the NACE Community and to its library is available for all to see, and comments are subject to state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations, including, but not limited to libel, slander, intellectual property, and antitrust laws. Please be advised that NACE is permitted to review and remove any posting deemed improper or in violation of applicable law but has no requirement to do so unless set forth in a specific statute, regulation, or law.
  • All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.
  • As noted below in more detail, do not post any information or other materials protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. Please note carefully all items listed in the “Legal Considerations” section below, particularly regarding the copyright ownership of information posted.
