I recently moved to Fargo from the San Francisco Bay area where I served as Chief of Education & Training at Travis Air Force Base, CA. I served in the Air Force for 23 years retiring in 2012, and worked in educational roles for the past 14 years.
While at Travis Air Force Base, I served 10 years as an instructor and Commandant for Professional Military Education which taught Air Force members necessary supervisory and leadership skills. In my tenure there, I led a team of eight through four major headquarters program compliance inspections resulting in a total of seven benchmark program initiatives. After retiring from the Air Force, I was hired back into the service of the federal government as the base’s Installation Test Center Manager and eventually promoted to the Chief of Education and Training. In this position, I oversaw five departments, five college satellite campuses serving the educational needs of the military, their families, and retired veterans. I also served on the board of advisors for the United States Military Educators Association (USMEA) where I received a Congressional Accommodation for being the first Air Force base to develop and conduct PTSD training for educators and staff.
